Runelight is about the permanent impact that loss can have on our lives, and a reflection on how it can feel as though our world is literally changing around us.
Director Biography
I am an animation filmmaker based in Glasgow, Scotland. I currently work as an animator and editor in television advertising and educational content.
I am interested in making films that use world-building in an immersive way. Runelight is my first entirely solo project and has allowed me to explore the kind of thoughtful storytelling that I am most engaged by.
Director’s Statement
Runelight is a project that is very close to my heart. I wanted to make a film that reflected on a difficult emotional process by immersing the viewer in an atmospheric fantasy world. Having worked on it for over two years I am excited to finally share it.
