Director’s Statement
This short film emerged from an encounter: the conjunction between materials recorded for another film -essentially permeable and elastic- and new meanings shaped by the current conditions of life in isolation.
During the process, with so much death knocking on the door of our houses, I day to day wondered about the loss in general and mainly about the need to have our loved ones close to us.
What happens to us when we cannot bid farewell to our beloved persons?
What happens to us in the presence of the ineffable?
How can we face life without others?
Who will be able to give an account of each of us after our death?
This short film is like a message in a bottle thrown into the sea: an attempt to answer painful questions that strongly inhabit our present time, hoping that our traces will not be erased by the wind.
