DIVIDING LINE presents the real-time journey of a young doctor, Lily, who breaks down under the psychological pressure of an accident case. She makes the wrong decision to keep her team safe, which opens the door for an unearthly ride through the night into her worst nightmare as a dedicated helper.
Director Biography
Viktoria is a film director, writer, psychotherapist and intensive care doctor. In reverse chronological order. Her past professions helped her develop a diagnostic capability that penetrates the surface, and an understanding of deep human emotions.
Built on her previous two degrees, Viktoria completed her MA in scriptwriting and directing at Staffordshire University in 2019. She started to work with Raindance Film School in its MA programme in 2020.
Director’s Statement
There is a cultic myth around those working in emergency, who bring people back to life with the help of their modern magic. In a way, these people live up to the expectations by identifying with the role of the powerful sorcerer. Until their very raison d’étre is questioned.
