
Directing an Indy Feature Workshop
Simon’s first feature was the British Screen and Sky funded $2.5 million horror movie LIGHTHOUSE. The film went on to win prizes at many acclaimed European film festivals. The New York Post called it ‘as suspenseful as anything in recent history’. Simon joined legendary London commercials company Infinity and has since directed many world class commercials, including spots for British Airways, the British Heart Foundation, Coca Cola, Deutsche Postbank, Royal Sun and Alliance. Simon directed the science fiction epic Mutant Chronicles in 2005, starring Thomas Jane, Ron Perlman, and John Malkovich. In 2017, he directed his passion project, EDIE, starring Sheila Hancock, which won numerous film festival prizes and became one of the most successful independent British movies of that year. It was released theatrically around the world. In 2022, he directed CAN YOU HEAR ME? a World War One love story which starred, Charlotte Radford, TWILIGHT actor Peter Facinelli and legendary actors, Sir John Standing and GAME OF THRONES star James Cosmo. The film is currently in post production. In 2023, Simon is about to embark on a long form TV series as show-runner and lead director. The series is based on a series of gruesome murders on the Portuguese coast and will start shooting in April 2024. He is represented by the United Talent Agency in Los Angeles.
