Jim Yufei Zou is a Shanghai-based filmmaker from China working across directing, cinematography, and assistant directing. He is emerging as a promising talent in contemporary short film, with work that has already gained recognition on the international festival circuit.

As director and cinematographer of the short film Naked Island, Jim Yufei Zou won Best Student Cinematography at the 66th Canadian Society of Cinematographers Awards. He also served as Second Assistant Director on A Tortoise’s Year of Fate, which premiered at the 76th Locarno Film Festival, further highlighting his growing presence in international independent cinema.
